At the moment it does have anti-spam and anti-flood filters. Their capabilities
are currently limited to character burst filters, all-uppercase (caps) filters,
a custom filter table (which searches for any of the strings in the table) and
if they are found filters the entire post, an autoignore feature for when users
exceed a certain amount of times they've been "filtered", and an experimental
filter for perhaps more computer-minded users which is the obfuscated text
filter which scans the text for characters you would not find on the keyboard
and if they are present checks against the percentage defined in the options
dialog and if they are x percent of the post it is filtered immediately.
Currently it has a loud ignore feature, loud unignore, and loud autoignore.
If ":" is at the beginning of any of those text boxes with the custom text in,
it will be sent as an emotion and not as speech.
Replacements include:
<user> - victims username.
<time> - current time.
<date> - current date.
<roomname> - current roomname.
<ignorecount> - current ignorecount.
<usercount> - current number of users in that room.
Under the general tab there is an option concerning autocomplete which if
enabled will popup a multiselection box if more than 1 autocompletion possibility
is found.
On the chat interface front, the command line (speech input box) currently only
accepts limited commands such as:
/join - move room.
/think - think.
and as usual, if ":" is at the beginning of said text, it will be sent as an
emotion, unless it is detected as being a smiley required to be sent as speech
instead.
Simple CheetaChat login dialog is very straightforward also.
A username, a password, a protocol, login.
All protocols are active and should be fine to use.
A room list dialog will popup, from there you select which room you wish to
join and then the chat interface should open while a connection attempt is
made, and from there you will receive the current information on the status
of the socket.
A better user guide and more information coming soon. I will keep you posted
mainly on the forums however.
Thank you for taking time to read this massive "read me" (basically).
